Background and history of our Old Boys association to date.
Our first meeting to discuss getting the Coolangatta SLSC Old Boys Association back together was in 2018 with the objective of maintaining contact with old members and friends of Coolangatta SLSC to share History, share the many stories and events and people that have built the Surf Club .
The many memories and times, many regard as the best time of their lives.
How do you do this?
By first forming a committee setting some Objectives and purpose, following up using some of the amazing new communications technology available today of firstly Emails, Facebook, Newsletters and now a Web page.
Firstly, the need to open a bank account and then apply for an ABN as an unincorporated company that is explained in the “welcome section” of the new web site.
Our progress has been slow due to several issues and changing the Web host service providers, domain name from a .com to a .org and changing to WordPress.
Our efforts to date have concentrated on emails via Google platform.
Most considered opinion for nonprofit community associations integrating your media tools can dramatically improve outreach, engagement and operational efficiency and that is a web site is the hub of all communications.
For that reason, we sought the help and advice of some experienced friends in this field of web site building.

We are preparing a survey on any ideas to improve our membership experience.
For example, we can fund raise up to sizeable amount for a good cause, perhaps writing the history of the club!
